Developing Generic Skills helps learners develop essential generic skills and prepare a personal portfolio of their achievements. The resource comprises a book, a CD-ROM and labelled dividers for learners to place in their portfolio folder.
The book features:
- a description of each generic skill and its importance to employers and employees
- a self-assessment questionnaire to get learners looking at their current skills and how they were acquired
- worksheets to help learners recognise the skills they have learnt
- tools for writing a resumé
- tips on how to present a portfolio for a job interview.
The CD-ROM contains full-sized copies of all the assessment items, quizzes, examples and reflection sheets.
